However, the population growth, industrial and agricultural production activities and the rapid development of urbanization in modern society have had a great impact on the limited water resources and water environment. Globally, the pollution of water quality, the rapid increase of water demand and the unreasonable utilization caused by competitive development among departments have further shortage of water resources and worsened the water environment, which has seriously affected the social and economic development and threatened the well-being of mankind.

In order to arouse public awareness of water and establish a more comprehensive system and corresponding operating mechanism for the sustainable utilization of water resources, on January 18, 1993, the 47th United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 193 according to the recommendations put forward in the agenda for action in the 21st century formulated by the United Nations Conference on Environment and development, which determined that March 22 of each year will be designated as "World Water Day" since 1993, In order to promote comprehensive overall planning and management of water resources, strengthen water resources protection and solve the increasingly severe problem of water shortage. At the same time, the public's awareness of the development and protection of water resources will be enhanced through extensive publicity and education activities.

March 22 this year is the 23rd "World Water Day", and March 22-28 is also the 28th "China Water Week". The United Nations has determined that the publicity theme of this year's "World Water Day" is "water and sustainable development", and the publicity theme of China's commemoration of "World Water Day" and "China Water Week" is "saving water resources and ensuring water security".

Water is the basic natural resource and strategic economic resource for the development of human society. The shortage of water resources has become an important factor in China's economic and social development. Enterprises are the basis of social economy. Strengthening enterprise water-saving management and improving the utilization rate of enterprise water-saving are the basis of building an energy-saving society.

Shandong Hongyu Rubber Co., Ltd. has always attached great importance to water saving. Two wells have been drilled in the plant area of the company's 2.8 million sets of all steel radial tires project, of which one is used for enterprise production and life and one is self provided. In August 2014, the company installed online automatic monitoring devices for all the two wells. At the same time, automatic metering water meters were also installed on the main water transmission branch pipelines, and water-saving devices were installed in key locations with large water consumption such as toilets. Through the implementation of a series of water-saving measures, water resources were greatly saved.

For a long time, people generally believe that water is "inexhaustible and inexhaustible", and they don't know how to cherish water in daily life. In fact, we have quite serious problems in daily water use. If we pay a little attention, we will find that there is a waste of water resources in one way or another around us. Saving water is not just a slogan. We should start from cherishing every drop of water. On the occasion of the 28th "China Water Week", we issued water conservation initiatives to all employees of the company:

1. Please use the washbasin to wash your face and hands.

2. When you wash your face, wash your hands and brush your teeth without a washbasin or water cup, please control the size of the faucet switch and turn off the water in time.

3. For dormitories and residential buildings with independent toilets, please try to flush the toilets with secondary water.

4. Please take a bath with water intermittently, and turn off the water in time when scrubbing.

5. Please use more than one water and make full use of water resources.

6. Please stop wasting water resources in time.

7. If you find water leakage in the water pipe, please report it to the relevant departments immediately.

8. Promote water conservation, practice it, and drive colleagues around to participate in water conservation.

Tap water is not "from scratch", and water resources are limited. It must be used scientifically and reasonably, save water and improve the reuse rate of water.
